If you are struggling to access services or equipment provision because of the unknown weight of your pattern or service user, we are now pleased to offer an in bed weighing service.
The accurate weighing of patients is vital as part of their management and is of particular importance if medication or other treatment is to be calculated based on the patient’s weight.
It is essential to obtain an accurate weight before any equipment is assigned, ensuring safety to the patient and the carers.
Available for all service users, not just bariatric or plus sized patients. We are able to meet Occupational Therapists in the patients home and carry out the weigh service.
This can be done in a bed or a chair, and takes less than 30 mins.
We use the latest Marsden in bed scales and in most cases can weigh your patient within a week. They are class iii scales and are accurate to 500g, and can weigh unto 1000KG
This service has been very popular and can be used in conjunction with our assessment services.
